A company plans to establish a new sponge iron manufacturing project in Chhapora, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The project includes DRI kilns (132,000 TPA), an induction furnace with LRF & CCM (118,800 TPA), a submerged electric arc furnace (Si-Mn or Fe-Mn), two WHRB-based and one AFBC-based power plants (total 15 MW), and a brick manufacturing unit (8,000 bricks/day).
