A sugar and ethanol company plans to expand its fuel ethanol unit from 45–70 KLD to 100 KLD using molasses, syrup, and grain feed. Sugar crushing capacity will rise from 3,500 TCD to 5,000 TCD, and co-generation plants will increase from 5 MW to 25 MW. The Rs. 160 million project starts in November 2025, with environmental clearance under review.
