The project targets crude oil output of 15 cubic metre/day and natural gas output of 200 cubic metre/day, transported via pipe conveyor.

    A major public-sector enterprise, in joint partnership with an oil refining PSU, is developing a ₹12,215 crore Synthetic Natural Gas (SNG) project in Chandrapur, Maharashtra. Approved by the central government, the surface coal gasification plant will produce 633.6 million Nm3 of synthetic gas annually, generating 3,000 local jobs while reducing national LNG imports.

    The Central PSU has proposed drilling of one exploratory well (CWAC) at South Kharatar, covering an area of 180.39 sq km across multiple villages in Jaisalmer District, Rajasthan. The project is currently under environmental clearance review with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, with total land requirement of 1.69 hectares of non-forest land. Expected natural gas output is around 0.4 MMTOE, with construction/drilling activity yet to commence.

The State Pollution Control Board granted Consent to Establish for the expansion. The project also includes pipeline transportation infrastructure for petroleum products between jetty/refinery points and the terminal.

    A new natural gas distribution unit is being set up near Karanjia in Nilagiri Tahasil, Baleshwar district. The facility will have a distribution capacity of 900 Kg/Hour. The State Pollution Control Board has granted Consent to Establish for the project, which must commence construction within five years and needs a separate Consent to Operate before commercial production.
