The State Pollution Control Board has granted Consent to Establish for the project, which is at the environmental clearance stage.

The project, currently under verification for Environmental Clearance with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, is expected to generate about 700 permanent jobs during operations. Construction has not yet commenced as the proposal awaits environmental appraisal.

The project involves land requirement of about 625 hectares (including ~115 ha forest land), rehabilitation of 800 project-affected families across 10 villages, and diversion of 5 village roads. The proposal is currently under examination by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for grant of Terms of Reference, with construction yet to commence.
