The project aims to install a 3x15 (45) MTPA capacity, with an estimated cost of Rs. 47,379.1 million. Construction is slated to start in January 2025 and conclude by July 2028. As of June 2024, the project awaits environmental clearance from the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority.

    A major plant expansion is planned in Tadali, Chandrapur, Maharashtra, to increase sponge iron production from 90,000 TPA to 528,000 TPA, steel products to 750,000 TPA, and captive power generation from 20 MW to 80 MW. With an investment of Rs. 7,500 million, construction is set from December 2025 to November 2027, pending environmental clearance.
