The proposal is currently under examination by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for grant of Terms of Reference, with physical expansion work yet to commence. Total employment during construction and operations is expected to rise modestly with the added capacity.

The existing unit has been operational since 2013, with the expansion expected to add processing capacity and employment once cleared.

The project is expected to generate significant employment, with around 500 permanent jobs during operations and 100 during the construction phase.

The project is currently under Environmental Clearance review with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change after having secured Terms of Reference, with land acquisition for the ~331 hectare site still in progress. Construction is yet to commence, with the project expected to generate significant construction-phase and operational employment once cleared.
