Vedanta Oil and Gas Plans ₹2,000 Crore Investment to Raise Crude Output at Mangla, Bhagyam and Aishwariya Fields in Rajasthan

Vedanta Oil and Gas plans to invest around US$200 million, or about ₹2,000 crore, in FY27 across its Mangla, Bhagyam and Aishwariya fields in Rajasthan. The spend is aimed at improving crude recovery from existing wells in these mature fields

The investment will focus on the Mangla, Bhagyam and Aishwariya fields in northern Rajasthan, as reported by The Economic Times. The immediate focus is Mangla, which currently produces about 80,000 barrels per day (bpd).

Vedanta targets production of more than 150,000 bpd from Mangla. The company says producing fields are declining naturally by 1–3%, which makes higher recovery from existing wells critical to raising output

Enhanced oil recovery at Mangla is being expanded through polymer flooding and alkaline-surfactant-polymer (ASP) injection. This points to demand for chemical injection systems, surface facilities and well-servicing work

Mangla was discovered in 2004 and helped turn Barmer into India's biggest onshore oil-producing region. Vedanta is also developing the northeast as a new hub for gas growth.
