Infrastructure Oct 07,2026

Trentar Private Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra for a proposed ₹30,000 crore investment. The project is a 500 MW Green Integrated Hyperscale Data Center. The MoU was signed under the Invest Maharashtra initiative and handed over by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Trentar is the technology and infrastructure arm of Dorf Ketal Group.

Under the agreement, the state government will coordinate permissions, registrations, approvals, clearances and incentives under prevailing policies and regulations. The project has also received a Letter of Intent from the state outlining the applicable support and incentives.

The campus is designed for artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, cloud services, large-scale data processing and big-data analytics. Trentar plans a modular design built for rapid deployment and scalable growth. The company plans to use the group's experience in process engineering, utilities, thermal management, water treatment and energy efficiency.

Trentar is targeting at least 51% of the facility's energy requirement from renewable sources. It is also evaluating in-house energy storage, treated-water reuse and water-efficient cooling technologies. Final technology choices will follow detailed design and feasibility studies.

The source does not state the project location within Maharashtra, land requirement, phasing or commissioning timeline. It also names no EPC contractors or equipment suppliers. The project marks Dorf Ketal Group's entry into digital infrastructure, alongside its specialty-chemicals business.
