Hitachi High-Tech Sets Up Advanced-Technology Innovation Center Analytical Lab in MIDC Thane, Mumbai
Hitachi High-Tech Corporation has set up a new demonstration laboratory in Mumbai. The Advanced-Technology Innovation Center Mumbai for analytical systems was established on October 1. It is operated by Hitachi High-Tech India Private Limited, the group's Indian subsidiary. The lab is located in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area of Thane, about a 60-minute drive from Mumbai Airport.
The facility has installed spectrophotometers, liquid chromatographs, thermal analyzers, amino acid analyzers and potentiometric titrators. It offers hands-on demonstrations, customer-sample evaluations, application proposals and technical consultations. Customers can run testing and verification on actual samples with company specialists. The lab provides a chemical analysis environment designed to meet Indian safety and environmental standards.
The lab targets biopharmaceuticals, environmental applications, materials, chemicals and other industrial sectors. It is the company's second specialised technology hub in India. The first, the Advanced-Technology Innovation Center India in Bengaluru, was set up in 2025 and focuses on semiconductors. It is equipped with electron microscopes, including the FE-SEM SU8600.
Hitachi High-Tech plans to run hands-on workshops, work with academic institutions and offer student internships at the Mumbai facility. It also plans to strengthen the supply of digitalised assets supporting HMAX Industry, the Hitachi Group's next-generation solution.
