Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem Ltd's board has approved a capacity expansion at its Dahej-III greenfield manufacturing facility in Bharuch, Gujarat, involving an estimated investment of ₹200 crore.
The project involves installing an aggregate reactor capacity of 344 kilolitres (KL) and is expected to be completed in approximately 21 months. The expansion will be funded through a combination of internal accruals and debt.
The new facility is intended to meet anticipated growth in demand for specialty chemicals and to strengthen the company's manufacturing infrastructure. Tatva Chintan produces structure-directing agents (SDAs), phase transfer catalysts (PTCs), electrolyte salts and other specialty chemicals for the pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, energy storage, semiconductor and industrial chemicals sectors. The company has said the new unit carries revenue potential of around ₹300 crore.
To support its expansion plans, the board also approved raising the company's borrowing limit from ₹300 crore to ₹1,000 crore, subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.
