Manufacturing  -  Nov 09,2024  -

Tata Power has signed a landmark agreement with Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) to provide renewable energy to the upcoming Noida International Airport (NIA). The deal, valued at ₹550 crore, underscores Tata Power’s commitment to supporting sustainable energy solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects in India.

Under the terms of the agreement, Tata Power will supply clean, green energy from its renewable power sources to meet the energy needs of the airport. This initiative is in line with both companies' efforts to promote sustainability and reduce carbon footprints. The renewable energy supplied will play a crucial role in powering the airport’s operations, contributing to its goal of achieving net-zero emissions in the future.

The deal will cover the entire energy needs of the airport, which is being developed as a major aviation hub in the region. With the global aviation industry increasingly focusing on reducing environmental impacts, Noida International Airport is aiming to become one of the first airports in India to operate with a significant share of renewable energy, setting a new benchmark for sustainability in the sector.

This partnership is part of Tata Power’s broader strategy to expand its clean energy footprint and support India’s transition to a low-carbon economy. The company has been actively involved in providing renewable energy solutions for various sectors, including industrial, commercial, and residential, and this agreement with NIAL further strengthens its leadership position in the green energy market.
