Sterlite Technologies Signs MoU with Maharashtra Government at Invest Maharashtra Launch, Building on Optical Fibre Manufacturing Base in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar
Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Maharashtra. The MoU was signed on October 14, 2026, at the launch of Invest Maharashtra in Mumbai, in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. STL Vice Chairman Pravin Agarwal and Managing Director Ankit Agarwal attended.
The MoU supports STL’s growth plans in the state under its Lakshya initiative. STL is headquartered in Maharashtra. It operates optical fibre manufacturing plants in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, which supply optical fibre to global markets.
The company’s announcement did not disclose the investment value, project details or specific commitments under the MoU. Location, capacity and timeline for any new facility have not been stated.
