SECI Invites Bids for 54,000 MTPA Green Ammonia Supply for Madhya Bharat Agro Products' Dhule Fertilizer Plant Under SIGHT Mode-2A Tranche-II
The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a tender for competitive bids for the domestic production and supply of 54,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) of green ammonia. The tender is under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) programme, Mode-2A, Tranche-II.
Under the Request for Selection (RfS), selected producers will sign a 10-year Green Ammonia Purchase Agreement (GAPA). SECI will act as an intermediary procurer, aggregating demand and arranging back-to-back delivery to a dedicated offtaker. For this tranche, the green ammonia will go to Madhya Bharat Agro Products Limited (MBAPL) for its fertiliser plant at Dhule, Maharashtra.
Bidders will be selected through an electronic reverse auction. Tranche-I of the SIGHT scheme aggregated 724,000 tonnes per annum of green ammonia across 13 fertiliser plants. Its lowest tariff discovered was ₹49.75 per kg.
