Ellenbarrie Industrial Gases has been awarded a contract worth ₹480.73 crore, excluding GST, by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL). The contract covers supply and erection of a cryogenic Air Separation Unit (ASU). The date of award is 28 September 2026.
The ASU is for the proposed Coal to Ammonium Nitrate project at Bandhabal, Jharsuguda district, Odisha. The project has a capacity of 2,000 tonnes per day (TPD). The ASU has a capacity of 1,200 TPD.
BHEL is placing the order for the coal-based ammonium nitrate complex. Air separation units supply oxygen and nitrogen to coal gasification and downstream chemical processes.
