Sakarni Plaster to Invest ₹450 Crore in Gypsum Board and Paint Plant Expansion

Sakarni Plaster has announced plans to invest ₹450 crore over the next two years to expand its manufacturing capacity in building materials. The investment will fund new plants for gypsum boards and paints, alongside capacity expansion at existing facilities. Funding will come from internal accruals and bank loans.

The company's paint plant in Noida is currently operating at full capacity. To address this, Sakarni plans to invest around ₹200 crore in a new paint manufacturing facility at Kosi Kalan in Mathura.

Its gypsum board plant in Neemrana is also running at full capacity. A new production line will be added there with an investment of around ₹125 crore, with operations expected to begin within 1 to 1.5 years.

Sakarni is also considering a project through a joint investment with Coromandel Group aimed at strengthening its presence in the southern market. The company currently draws around 70% of its revenue from North India and is looking to expand into western, eastern and southern markets as part of this capacity build-out.

The expansion comes as Sakarni targets close to ₹1,000 crore in turnover for FY27, up from around ₹900 crore in FY26, with the additional manufacturing capacity intended to support supply for housing and commercial construction projects.
