Jassper Shipping to Invest $50 Million to Expand Project Logistics and Bulk Cargo Operations Across India
Jassper Shipping, a provider of project logistics, breakbulk, bulk cargo and industrial supply chain solutions, has announced plans to invest US$50 million over the next three years to strengthen its operations. The investment will be infused by the company's promoters in a phased manner.
The capital will be deployed toward expanding project logistics infrastructure, strengthening bulk and breakbulk cargo handling capabilities, building technology-led logistics planning systems, and scaling operations across key industrial and port-led logistics corridors. The first phase involves an infusion of US$10 million to expand the company's B2B project logistics business, with focus sectors including power, steel, petrochemicals, heavy engineering, manufacturing and large infrastructure projects.
The expansion strategy includes acquiring specialised vessels and heavy-lift equipment for transporting oversized project cargo, along with developing warehousing and shore-side logistics infrastructure to support cargo movement from ports to final project sites. The investment will also support port-to-plant logistics, vessel chartering and integrated multimodal freight solutions for oversized and critical cargo.
Jassper Shipping CEO and Head of Business Development for the Subcontinent, Middle East and Southeast Asia, Pushpank Kaushik, said the investment reflects the company's long-term commitment to building capabilities across project cargo, breakbulk logistics, vessel chartering and integrated industrial supply chains, as India's infrastructure and industrial sectors enter a multi-year growth cycle.
The company is targeting demand tied to renewable energy, power, infrastructure, mining, oil and gas, and other project-led industries in India, alongside opportunities in international markets.
