Sagar Cements Commissions 0.5 Mtpa Grinding Unit at Jeerabad Plant, Madhya Pradesh
Sagar Cements Ltd has announced the commissioning of an additional cement grinding unit at its Jeerabad plant in Madhya Pradesh, operated through subsidiary Sagar Cements Pvt Ltd (SCMPL). The new unit adds 0.5 Mtpa of grinding capacity and has commenced commercial operations.
With the new line online, SCMPL's total cement grinding capacity at the Jeerabad facility now stands at 1.5 Mtpa. The expansion forms part of Sagar Cements' broader capacity build-out across its plant network in India.
Following the commissioning, Sagar Cements' consolidated cement capacity across all locations has increased to 11 Mtpa. No investment figure for the grinding unit was disclosed.
The Jeerabad expansion adds to Sagar Cements' presence in Madhya Pradesh, a key market for cement demand driven by infrastructure and construction activity in central India. The move strengthens the company's grinding footprint and supply capability in the region.
