Infrastructure Jul 17,2026

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Goa to collaborate on the development and implementation of infrastructure projects across the state. The agreement was announced on July 17, 2026.

Under the MoU, RVNL will act as the Project Executing Agency for infrastructure initiatives in Goa, bringing its project management and engineering expertise to bear on state-level development works. The specific scope, financial terms and timelines for individual projects will be mutually agreed upon by RVNL and the state government at a later stage.

The partnership is expected to cover projects related to connectivity, transportation, rail infrastructure and other development areas, though exact project valuations have not yet been disclosed. RVNL's standalone order book stood at ₹99,262 crore as of March 31, 2026, driven primarily by railway and signalling contracts, and the company has been expanding into metros, highways and state-level infrastructure projects to diversify beyond its core railway nominations.

The MoU adds to RVNL's growing portfolio of state government collaborations as public sector infrastructure companies increasingly partner with states to identify and execute large-scale development works. Further details on specific projects under the Goa partnership are expected to be finalised in subsequent agreements between the two parties.
