RVNL Emerges Lowest Bidder for ₹405 Crore Third-Line Railway Contract on Nergundi-Barang, Khurda Road-Vizianagaram Stretches
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder for an estimated ₹405 crore project from East Coast Railway. The scope of work includes construction of the roadbed and bridges, track laying, supply of ballast, along with buildings and road under bridges.
The contract is linked to the construction of a third railway line across the Nergundi-Barang and Khurda Road-Vizianagaram stretches, which together span nearly 385 km. The Nergundi-Barang stretch covers 22 km, while the Khurda Road-Vizianagaram stretch covers 363 km.
The third-line development represents an expansion of railway infrastructure across Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, involving extensive civil and railway works including track infrastructure, bridges, road under bridges, and related facilities.
