Pratap Group Inaugurates ₹850 Crore Optical Fibre and BESS Manufacturing Units in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh
Pratap Group, through its Corsis Industries and Voltters Technologies units, has inaugurated two advanced manufacturing facilities at the Smart Industrial Park in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. The combined investment in the two units is around ₹850 crore.
The first facility, Corsis Industries, is an advanced optical fibre manufacturing plant established to support India's digital infrastructure. The unit will manufacture optical fibre for applications including broadband connectivity, 5G networks, fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) connections, data centres, smart cities and defence communication systems.
The second facility, Voltters Technologies, manufactures Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and lithium-ion battery solutions. The plant incorporates robotics and Industry 4.0 automation and is aimed at supporting renewable energy and industrial energy-storage applications.
The two units were jointly inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav and Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. The investment has generated direct and indirect employment for 800–1,000 people.
Gurugram-headquartered Pratap Group operates across optical fibre, battery solutions and turnkey project execution. The group's broader operations currently provide direct and indirect employment to around 30,000 people, with more than 2,000 individuals undergoing training at its skill-development centres.
