Equipment Jun 10,2026

PRASA Infocom and Power Solutions Pvt Ltd has inaugurated a dedicated modular data centre manufacturing facility in the Mulshi industrial belt near Pune, Maharashtra. The plant has been developed with an initial investment of over ₹20 crore, with planned total investment expected to exceed ₹60 crore, and is expected to generate more than 650 direct and indirect jobs.

Spread across nearly 40,000 sq ft, the facility is positioned as one of the few plants in India dedicated exclusively to modular data centre infrastructure manufacturing. Built around Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles, the plant will produce containerised data centres, DFMA skids, cooling skids, power skids, prefabricated steel structures, and integrated infrastructure systems for mission-critical environments.

The facility is intended to shift a significant share of data centre build activity from construction sites to a controlled manufacturing environment, aimed at reducing deployment timelines while improving consistency and quality assurance. It is designed to serve hyperscale operators, colocation providers, cloud companies, telecom operators, enterprise customers, and AI data centre infrastructure projects across India.

The plant currently incorporates partial solar power integration, with the company indicating plans for greater renewable energy adoption and further investment in automation and precision engineering capabilities over the next three to five years.
