PM Modi Launches ₹24,800 Crore Infrastructure, Rail and Healthcare Projects Across Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth over ₹24,800 crore across Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab on July 17. The package includes highways, railways, healthcare and education projects, with ₹14,700 crore for Haryana, ₹4,700 crore for Chandigarh and ₹5,470 crore for Punjab.

Key projects include the inauguration of Packages 1–5 of the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, national highway works in Haryana, India's first hydrogen-powered passenger train between Jind and Sonipat, the Daulatpur Chowk-Kartoli railway line, 75 redeveloped railway stations, new facilities at PGIMER Chandigarh, two new medical colleges in Haryana, and hostel blocks at Punjab Engineering College. The investments aim to improve regional connectivity, healthcare and education infrastructure.
