Odisha Clears Adani Arm's ₹1.04 Lakh Crore, 1 GW Data Centre Park at Naraj near Cuttack Along with Three Other Data Centre Projects
High Density Data Centre Ltd, a subsidiary of Adani Infra (India) Ltd, has received approval from the Odisha government for an integrated data centre park worth ₹1.04 lakh crore. The High-Level Clearance Authority, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, cleared the project. It involves a 1 GW facility on about 250 acres at Naraj near Cuttack. The project is expected to generate around 1,000 jobs.
The proposal was one of 27 projects worth about ₹2.47 trillion cleared by the state government. It is separate from the ₹50,000 crore hyperscale AI data centre agreement signed earlier this month between Adani Group and Abu Dhabi-based International Holding Company for Odisha.
The authority also approved three other data centre and AI-related projects worth ₹38,391 crore in total. HCLTech, in partnership with Sarvam AI, will set up a ₹14,257 crore AI-optimised data centre in Khordha. Sentraforge AI, a joint venture of Megha Engineering and Infrastructures and GVPR Engineers, will develop a ₹22,634 crore sovereign AI campus and GCC in Puri. RKD Construction will set up a ₹1,500 crore data centre in Cuttack district. Total investment across the four projects is about ₹1.42 lakh crore.
AdaniConneX, Adani's data centre business, operates a facility in Chennai. It is developing projects in Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad.
