Odisha and Madhya Pradesh Sign MoU for Clean Energy Technology Transfer and Renewable Energy Cooperation
Odisha and Madhya Pradesh have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen inter-state cooperation in renewable energy, energy storage, and green hydrogen, aimed at accelerating clean energy technology transfer and knowledge sharing between the two states. The MoU was signed by Odisha's Energy Department and Madhya Pradesh's New and Renewable Energy Department on the sidelines of the 7th CII International Energy Conference and Exhibition in New Delhi.
The agreement establishes a comprehensive framework for mutual cooperation, technology transfer, collaborative research and development, and knowledge sharing in renewable energy development, energy efficiency, and conservation measures. The agreement seeks collaboration in technology transfer, joint research and development, knowledge sharing, policy and regulatory practices, and grid integration.
Under the terms of the agreement, both state departments will jointly promote solar, wind, and hybrid clean power technologies, while establishing dedicated technical exchange channels for policy design, regulatory practices, and grid integration strategies. The partnership also focuses on launching collaborative R&D projects in energy storage and green hydrogen.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Odisha Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Madhya Pradesh's Minister for New & Renewable Energy Rakesh Shukla, and was formally executed by Vishal Dev, Additional Chief Secretary of Odisha's Energy Department, and Manu Srivastava, Additional Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh's New & Renewable Energy Department.
