Nikhil Kamath and Sreeram Vanga Invest ₹250 Crore in CtrlS Datacenters to Fund Hyperscale Capacity Expansion
Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath and entrepreneur Sreeram Reddy Vanga have invested a combined ₹250 crore in hyperscale data centre operator CtrlS Datacenters. Kamath contributed ₹200 crore and Vanga put in ₹50 crore.
The capital will support CtrlS's infrastructure expansion and capacity build-out to meet growing enterprise and hyperscaler demand across India, as AI, cloud and digital workloads accelerate. CtrlS currently runs 19 data centres across nine markets, with over 370MW of operational capacity and 4.4GW of projects at various stages of development.
CtrlS was founded by Sridhar Pinnapureddy and has established itself as a data centre partner to enterprises, cloud providers, financial institutions and government organisations. The company is Hyderabad-based and has separately outlined multi-year plans to scale its hyperscale and edge data centre footprint in India and neighbouring markets, including investment in advanced cooling, power management and renewable energy to support its capacity growth.
The fresh capital adds to CtrlS's ongoing expansion pipeline, positioning it to serve rising compute and storage demand from AI training workloads, cloud service providers and enterprise clients across the Indian market.
