Lux Cozi Group, one of India's leading innerwear and apparel manufacturers, has laid the foundation stone for a new manufacturing facility at Dankuni, West Bengal, with a planned investment of approximately ₹600 crore. The project represents one of the largest manufacturing investments in the company's history and is set to establish one of Asia's largest garment manufacturing hubs. The ceremony was attended by West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, along with Member of Parliament Samik Bhattacharya and state Industry Minister Tapas Roy.

The company will expand its existing 8-lakh-sq-ft Dankuni facility by another 12 lakh sq ft, creating a 20-lakh-sq-ft manufacturing campus. The expansion adds annual capacity of 20 crore pieces to the existing facility's 12 crore pieces, taking Lux Cozi Group's total nationwide capacity from nearly 20 crore to approximately 36 crore pieces annually. The facility, located about 10 km from Singur, is expected to generate around 3,000 direct and 6,000 indirect jobs.

Once fully operational, the highly automated facility is expected to set new benchmarks in production efficiency and scale. The Dankuni expansion is positioned as a key pillar of Lux Cozi Group's long-term growth strategy to build globally competitive manufacturing infrastructure supporting its innerwear and apparel brands.

At the ceremony, the West Bengal government announced plans to introduce a single-window clearance mechanism for investment proposals of ₹100 crore and above, aimed at easing approvals for large-scale industrial projects in the state.
