Kosol Energie Commissions 31 MW Solar Power Project For GSECL At Junachay, Kutch, Gujarat
Kosol Energie has commissioned a 31 MW (DC) ground-mounted solar photovoltaic project at Junachay village in Gujarat's Kutch district for Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL). The project was developed under the state's Renewable Energy Policy and Green Energy Mission.
The plant was developed in a phased implementation between October 2022 and March 2026, covering engineering, procurement and construction activities. The facility uses 550 Wp bifacial photovoltaic modules, which generate electricity from both sides of the panel, along with a single-axis tracker system that allows the modules to follow the sun's movement through the day to increase energy capture.
Kalpesh Kalthia, Chairman and Managing Director of Kosol Energie, said the project adds to Gujarat's renewable energy capacity and reflects the company's ability to execute utility-scale assignments for public sector utilities.
Kosol Energie has executed more than 2.5 GW of utility-scale and commercial solar projects in India and installed over 40,000 grid-connected and off-grid solar systems. The company maintains manufacturing capabilities for photovoltaic modules and components, alongside offerings in floating solar, battery energy storage systems, rooftop installations and large solar parks.
