KIMS Health Care Management to Invest ₹134.4 Crore to Expand KIMSHEALTH Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram
KIMS Health Care Management Limited (KHML), a subsidiary of Aster DM Quality Care, has received board approval to build a new block at KIMSHEALTH Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, at an investment of ₹134.4 crore. The approval was announced to stock exchanges on August 31, 2026.
The hospital currently operates close to 795 beds with occupancy running at around 75%, leaving limited room for growth. The expansion will add 184 beds, taking total capacity to approximately 979 beds by May 2028. The investment will be funded through a mix of 70% debt and 30% equity.
The company said the expansion is aimed at addressing space constraints, facilitating growth of key specialties, and strengthening healthcare infrastructure at the Thiruvananthapuram facility to support future demand.
The move follows Aster DM Quality Care's first quarter of reporting as a merged entity, after the amalgamation of Aster DM Healthcare and Quality Care India took effect from July 1, 2026, with both revenue and profitability rising in that period. The Thiruvananthapuram expansion adds to the group's broader hospital network growth across Kerala and other states.
