KEC International Bags ₹1,014 Crore Transmission and Distribution Orders in India, Including First 765 kV Line for Pumped Storage Plant in Western India

Power Generation Oct 10,2026

KEC International has received new orders worth ₹1,014 crore in its India transmission and distribution (T&D) business. The company announced the orders on October 10, 2026. It said in a separate exchange filing that they were received in the normal course of business.

The orders include KEC’s first contract to set up a 765 kV transmission line for evacuating power from a pumped storage plant in Western India. The source does not name the client, the project owner or the exact location of the line.

The company’s compliance officer described the order as a milestone for its T&D business. The orders support the power infrastructure needs of the renewables segment. Pumped storage plants add to the grid-scale storage and balancing capacity that renewable generation requires, and they need high-voltage evacuation lines.

KEC International is an RPG Group company and a global infrastructure engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm. It works in power transmission and distribution, civil, transportation, renewables, oil and gas pipelines, and cables and conductors. It supplies EPC services and towers and cables in more than 110 countries.
