JSW Neo Energy, a fully-owned subsidiary of JSW Energy, has secured a significant contract from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) through a Letter of Award (LoA) to supply 230 MW of firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE). This award is part of a larger SECI initiative, SECI-FDRE-IV, which sought bids for 630 MW of such power. The awarded capacity is integral to expanding JSW Neo Energy’s portfolio and enhancing its role in the renewable energy sector.
With this new contract, JSW Neo Energy’s total locked-in generation capacity now stands at 16.4 GW, including a hybrid capacity of 2.3 GW. The company, currently operating at 7.5 GW, is on track to increase its installed generation capacity to 10 GW by FY25. This project is a crucial step in the company's strategy to diversify its energy solutions and shift towards a comprehensive energy products and services model. Looking ahead, JSW Neo Energy aims to achieve a 20 GW generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by 2030, underscoring its commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions and supporting India’s green energy goals.
