Power Generation  -  Aug 09,2024  -

Amara Raja Infra Private Limited (ARIPL), a prominent entity within the $2 billion Amara Raja Group, has achieved a major milestone with the successful commissioning of NTPC's Anta Solar PV Project. This project, with a capacity of 90 MW/135 MWp, is situated on a 437-acre site in Anta, Baran District, Rajasthan. It represents the first Balance of System (BoS) Solar contract awarded in 2021 by a Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU). The solar facility is integrated within NTPC’s existing gas-fired thermal power station premises and is projected to produce 213 million units of green energy annually.

The Anta Solar PV Project enhances ARIPL's impressive 2000 MW Solar PV portfolio and is integral to their extensive infrastructure initiative. This initiative supports the evacuation of over 7500 MW of renewable energy through extra-high-voltage (EHV) substations and transmission lines across India. NTPC Ltd., India's largest integrated power utility, operates a comprehensive portfolio including thermal, hydro, solar, and wind power plants, fulfilling a significant portion of the country's power needs. Dwarakanadha Reddy B, Business Head (Power EPC) at ARIPL, emphasized that this successful commissioning reflects ARIPL's technical expertise and robust project execution capabilities, marking a crucial advancement in India’s renewable energy transition and reinforcing their role in the clean energy sector.
