JK Cement Ltd, a manufacturer of grey and white cement, laid the foundation stone for its grinding unit in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

The occasion was attended by Madhavkrishna Singhania, the company's deputy managing director and CEO, as well as the senior leadership team.

The grinding unit would be established with an investment of around Rs 500 crore and a total output capacity of 2.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

This facility, strategically located in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, not only augments JKCement's manufacturing capacity but also forges a road towards establishing direct and indirect employment possibilities for the local population.

Commenting on the expansion, Dr Raghavpat Singhania, managing director of JK Cement Ltd said that the company stands at the threshold of opportunities, propelled by its expanding capacities, robust regional diversification, and an ever-evolving portfolio mix that seamlessly aligns with market demands. This strategic trajectory seamlessly integrates with its vision of augmenting capacity and extending JK Cement’s presence into untapped markets, mirroring the demand growth over the impending years.
