In keeping with the country's 'Make in India' policy, Philips announced the expansion of production of its Personal Health product categories across beauty, grooming, childcare and healthcare in India at its co-manufacturing location in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.

'Mother and Childcare' items will now be manufactured alongside female and male grooming products at the co-manufacturing plant.

In India, Philips manufactures a variety of hair care basics such as hairdryers, hair straighteners, and hairbrushes in the beauty category, as well as the Beard Trimmer 1000 Series and sterilisers for the mother and child care market.

Philips’ Personal Health manufacturing presence in the country includes sites in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, and a co-manufacturing facility in Silvassa Union Territory. Last year, Philips announced the expansion of its factory at Chakan in Maharashtra for healthcare equipment in India.
