Power Generation Jun 02,2026

INVERGY India has commissioned a new Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing facility in Dasna, Uttar Pradesh, with an annual production capacity of 3 GWh. The plant, spread across 217,000 square feet, has been built at an investment of over ₹200 crore and is designed to serve residential, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale energy storage applications.

The facility will manufacture lithium iron phosphate (LFP/LiFePO4) battery packs, integrated energy storage systems, and solar inverters. The product range is intended to serve customers ranging from rooftop solar users to large-scale renewable energy developers, supporting the deployment of grid-connected and off-grid energy storage projects across India.

The plant incorporates AI-driven Battery Management Systems (BMS), IoT-enabled remote monitoring capabilities, advanced quality control mechanisms, and highly automated production lines. These technologies are designed to ensure product reliability, operational safety, and consistent performance across the facility's output.

INVERGY India is a subsidiary of GP Eco Solutions India, which reported consolidated revenue of ₹418 crore for FY 2025–26, reflecting approximately 69% growth over the previous financial year. The commissioning of the Dasna facility is expected to significantly expand the group's domestic manufacturing capacity in the energy storage segment.

The establishment of the plant is positioned to contribute to India's broader clean energy and grid stability objectives, as battery energy storage systems play an increasingly central role in integrating renewable energy sources and managing grid demand across the country.
