INOX Air Products Inaugurates 200 TPD Liquid Air Separation Unit at Atchutapuram in Andhra Pradesh
INOX Air Products (INOXAP) has inaugurated a 200 tonnes-per-day (TPD) liquid air separation unit (ASU) at Atchutapuram in Andhra Pradesh. The facility was inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh Industries and Commerce Minister T. G. Bharath. It is the company's first 200 TPD ASU in the state.
The plant will produce liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen and liquid argon. It is spread across 6.77 acres. The company said it expands its capacity to supply industrial and medical gases in the state.
The facility is expected to serve pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, steel and metals, ferro alloys, chemicals, glass and engineering. INOXAP said the plant can also be optimised to produce 5N ultra-high-purity liquid nitrogen. This grade is used in solar and semiconductor manufacturing.
The company said the plant will improve the availability of industrial gases and medical oxygen in the state. It also said the unit supports emerging manufacturing sectors and Andhra Pradesh's long-term industrial development plans. INOXAP Managing Director Siddharth Jain described it as gas infrastructure built ahead of demand. He said the facility is expected to create employment across its operations and associated services.
