HVR Solar Signs Technology MOUs to Develop 1.2 GW TOPCon Solar Cell Manufacturing Facility in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh
HVR Solar has entered into a series of international memorandums of understanding to support the development of a 1.2 GW Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact (TOPCon) solar cell manufacturing facility in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh. The agreements were signed at the SNEC PV Power Expo 2026 in Shanghai.
Under the MOUs, Shenzhen Han's Photovoltaic Equipment Co. Ltd will supply key manufacturing equipment for the TOPCon solar cell production line. Gentech Technology (Huzhou) Co. Ltd will provide chemical and gas utility systems for the facility. Indygreen Technologies Private Limited has been designated as the technology facilitator responsible for production-line integration and overall project coordination.
The facility will manufacture high-efficiency TOPCon solar cells, a technology that offers enhanced conversion efficiency and improved performance characteristics compared with conventional PERC cell technology, and is increasingly specified in large-scale solar projects globally.
The project is expected to generate more than 500 direct employment opportunities across engineering, operations, and administrative functions. No investment quantum or commissioning timeline has been disclosed at this stage.
