SunBridge BioEnergy Begins Commercial Production at 300 KLD Grain-Based Ethanol Plant in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh

Distillery Oct 06,2026

SunBridge BioEnergy, the bioenergy arm of SunBridge Group, has begun commercial production at its 300-kilolitre-per-day (KLD) grain-based, fuel-grade ethanol plant in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh. The plant is the company's first operating ethanol facility.

The Seoni facility spreads across about 117,560 square metres. It has an ethanol production capacity of 300 KLD and 11,000 kilolitres of storage capacity. The plant uses damaged food grains, including maize and broken rice, as feedstock.

The plant produces Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) and Distillers Corn Oil (DCO) as co-products. These are primarily used in poultry and cattle feed. It has water recovery and reuse systems and operates under a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) framework.

SunBridge plans to raise total ethanol capacity to 700 KLD. This depends on its 400 KLD facility in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, becoming operational. The source gives no timeline for the Raipur plant.

The bioenergy business sits alongside the group's consumer products and solar energy interests. The source does not state the investment size, technology provider or EPC contractor for the Seoni plant.
