Godrej Agrovet to Develop ₹300 Crore Oil Palm Processing Unit in Khammam, Telangana
Godrej Agrovet Limited will establish an oil palm processing unit in Khammam district, Telangana, with an estimated investment of ₹300 crore. The facility will come up at Gubbagurthi village in Konijerla mandal, on 113.5 acres of land allocated by the state government.
The development will include a processing unit, a nursery, an R&D centre, and a seed garden, and is expected to generate employment for more than 700 people.
During discussions with the state government, company representatives requested an additional 35 to 40 acres of land for the seed garden, and outlined plans for Telangana's first private integrated oil palm complex.
The Chief Minister directed officials to widen the roads leading to the processing facility, with the work to be carried out under the supervision of the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited (TGIIC).
The project is expected to strengthen oil palm processing infrastructure in Telangana, support the state's expanding oil palm cultivation base, and add to the agro-processing ecosystem in the Khammam region.
