The Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) has called for bids for the design, construction, and commissioning of a 60 MLD deep-sea effluent disposal pipeline system for the Bulk Drug Park (BDP) being developed at Jambusar. The project is estimated at approximately ₹791.53 crore and will be executed on an EPC basis.

The pipeline system is intended to carry treated industrial effluent continuously from the Bulk Drug Park's CETP to a deep-sea disposal point off Dahej. The scope covers an onshore-offshore network, including a twin 800 mm diameter HDPE pipeline running approximately 47.7 km from Jambusar to Kadodara, a 900 mm line of 12.1 km to the landfall point, and a 900 mm offshore HDPE pipeline extending 7.39 km into the Gulf of Khambhat.

The system will terminate at a depth of around 19.4 metres through a diffuser fitted with 34 ports for dispersion of treated effluent. Supporting infrastructure includes a main pumping station, intermediate pumping stations, and RCC and earthen guard ponds with a storage capacity of 120 ML each.

GIDC has set an 18-month completion timeline, including a mandatory trial run. The selected contractor will also be responsible for operation and maintenance of the system for five years following commissioning.

Environmental Clearance for the project has already been obtained from the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, with an amendment related to the diffuser point location currently under process.
