First unit of Naitwar Mori HEP synchronised with National Grid by SJVN

The 60 MW Naitwar Mori Hydro Electric Project (NMHEP) First Unit has been successfully synchronised with the National Grid by SJVN.

NMHEP is a run-of-the-river project that has two 30 MW producing units. Within this month, the project's second unit is also expected to be put into service. An annual 265.5 million units of electricity will be produced by the project.

The business built a 37-kilometer, 220 kV transmission line to transport power from Bainol to Snail via the Naitwar Mori HEP.

Additionally, the State of Uttarakhand will receive 12% free electricity as royalty upon the project's commissioning. Furthermore, every family affected by the project will get funding equal to the monthly cost of 100 units of power for ten years.

The project will usher an era of overall development of the area with infrastructure development and generation of direct & indirect employment.
