CNH Industrial to Invest ₹2,000 Crore in India by 2030, Set Up New Tractor Plant Near Greater Noida
CNH Industrial has announced plans to invest around ₹2,000 crore in its Indian operations by 2030. The investment will be split between a new tractor manufacturing plant and product development and R&D activities.
Of the total outlay, ₹1,000 crore will go toward a new greenfield tractor plant to be built near the company's existing facility in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, along the Yamuna Expressway. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has allotted 100 acres of land for the project. The first phase of the plant is expected to become operational by mid-2028, adding 20,000 units to CNH Industrial's annual tractor production capacity.
The full expansion is scheduled for completion by 2030, taking the company's total tractor manufacturing capacity in India from the current 70,000 units to around 1.4 lakh units per year.
The remaining ₹1,000 crore of the announced investment will be directed toward product development and R&D over the next five years, supporting tractor and equipment development for both the Indian and export markets.
CNH Industrial currently operates three manufacturing plants in India and manufactures tractors under the New Holland brand and construction equipment under the CASE brand. The company also operates four R&D centres in India, including a global capability centre in Gurgaon.
