Century Plyboards (India) Ltd. (CenturyPly) has unveiled an expansion plan involving an estimated investment of ₹2,500 crore, aimed at doubling its turnover to ₹12,000 crore by 2031. The Kolkata-based plywood and veneer manufacturer will pursue this through capacity expansion across India.

The company currently operates nine manufacturing facilities across Kolkata, Chennai, Guwahati, Karnal, Kandla, Hoshiarpur and Badvel. As part of its roadmap, CenturyPly will set up two new plants, one in Uttar Pradesh and one in Odisha, and will expand its existing Hoshiarpur facility in Punjab to add plywood production alongside medium-density fibreboard (MDF).

Land for the Uttar Pradesh plywood and MDF plant has already been finalised, while the company is scouting for land in Odisha for another plywood unit. In the first phase, CenturyPly plans to invest around ₹250 crore in each of the upcoming plants, with an additional ₹30-60 crore allocated toward expanding existing facilities.

Separately, Century Ports Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of CenturyPly, has been awarded responsibility to develop, operate and maintain the Kidderpore Dock-I (West) terminal under the public-private partnership model, adding a ports and logistics dimension to the company's portfolio. The company's new Hoshiarpur manufacturing facility is on track to become operational by September 2026.
