C-CAMP to Develop ₹400 Crore Life Sciences Innovation Park in Bengaluru
The Center for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) is planning to develop an Innovation Park in Bengaluru at an estimated investment of ₹400 crore. The project is proposed over an anticipated 5 acres within the Bengaluru Life Sciences Cluster (BLiSC), located on the GKVK (Gandhi Krishi Vigyana Kendra) campus.
The facility is planned as a 5 lakh sq ft campus that will house 100 laboratories. It is expected to become operational in 2028.
The Innovation Park will focus on healthcare, agriculture and environmental applications. Planned areas of work include biopharma, medical devices, diagnostics, digital health and artificial intelligence, alongside synthetic and industrial biotechnology, agri-biotech, fast-moving consumer goods and environmental biotechnology.
With this project, C-CAMP is adding a large-scale institutional facility to Bengaluru's life sciences infrastructure pipeline. The park will add dedicated laboratory and research space within the BLiSC cluster, supporting the wider research ecosystem in the city.
