Bhansali Engineering Polymers Advances ₹200 Crore Capacity Expansion at Abu Road and Satnoor Plants

Bhansali Engineering Polymers Limited, a manufacturer of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) and specialty styrenic resins, is undertaking a debottlenecking project at its Abu Road and Satnoor plants to expand production capacity from the current 75,000 MTPA to 100,000 MTPA.

The expansion carries a total capital expenditure of approximately ₹200 crore and is targeted for commissioning by September 2026, with optimal utilisation of the additional capacity expected by FY28. The project will be funded entirely through internal accruals, allowing the company to maintain its debt-free balance sheet.

The company said the expansion is aimed at strengthening its position as one of India's lowest-cost ABS producers and enabling it to capture a larger share of domestic demand currently met through imports. BEPL supplies over 80 variants of ABS and specialty polymers to customers across the automobile, home appliance, electronics, healthcare and kitchenware sectors.

The company said its strong cash position provides adequate financial flexibility to fund the planned capex, support incremental working capital requirements arising from the expanded capacity, and maintain a prudent liquidity buffer amid ongoing global macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainties.
