Raghu Vamsi Aerospace to Invest ₹600 Crore in Integrated Superalloy Manufacturing Plant in Telangana
Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group has announced plans to invest more than ₹600 crore in an integrated superalloy manufacturing facility in Telangana. The announcement was made on the opening day of the Farnborough International Airshow 2026.
The 50-acre facility will be developed at Hardware Park near Hyderabad International Airport. It is planned as one of India's few integrated plants for high-quality nickel-based superalloys, bringing together vacuum melting, forging, heat treatment, vacuum casting, powder metallurgy and other forming processes under one roof.
The plant will have an annual production capacity of about 5,000 tonnes and will manufacture round bars, wires, forgings, castings, and tungsten carbide powders. These materials are used in aero engines, space systems, defence equipment and energy applications, and the project is aimed at reducing India's dependence on imported nickel-based alloys.
Commercial production at the facility is targeted for January 2028. Dr. S.K. Jha, former Chairman and Managing Director of Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI), will lead the project.
The investment announcement follows a funding round in which Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group raised $40 million (approximately ₹400 crore), led by Norwest and Skegen Asset Management, on 20 July 2026.
