GP Petroleums Limited has strengthened its presence in India's infrastructure sector after its joint venture, Amron Oil Resources Private Limited, was selected by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) as the operating partner for its Bitumen Cell at Pipavav, Gujarat. The first dispatch of bulk bitumen from the facility was flagged off on June 4, 2026, in the presence of senior officials from IndianOil, GP Petroleums and Amron Oil Resources. The facility has been commissioned under IndianOil's SPRINT 2026 Mission Excellence initiative.

Amron Oil Resources, established in 2004, is a 50:50 joint venture between GP Petroleums Limited and West Coast Oils LLP. The company manufactures and supplies specialised bitumen products, including Bitumen Emulsions, Polymer Modified Bitumen (PMB), and Crumb Rubber Modified Bitumen (CRMB), used in road construction to improve pavement durability and lifecycle performance.

The Pipavav facility is expected to enhance the availability of high-performance bitumen products across Gujarat and neighbouring states, supporting large-scale infrastructure and highway projects. Its location at Pipavav Port is expected to improve supply chain efficiency and enable faster delivery of bitumen products to customers across western India.

GP Petroleums, founded in 1973, manufactures industrial and automotive lubricants, process oils, transformer oils, greases and specialty products under its IPOL brand, operating a manufacturing facility at Vasai near Mumbai with an annual blending capacity of 80,000 KL. The company also holds the exclusive licence to manufacture and distribute Repsol-branded lubricants in India.
