Allied Blenders Approves ₹115 Crore Malt Distillery and Maturation Warehouse in Aurangabad, Maharashtra
Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited's Management Committee has approved an additional capital contribution or financial assistance of up to ₹115 crore to its subsidiary, Minakshi Agro Industries LLP (MAILLP). The funds will be used to set up a new Malt Distillery with an estimated capacity addition of approximately 3 million bulk litres per year, along with a Maturation Warehouse, in Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
The proposed facility is targeted for completion in the third quarter of FY28. Financing will be through additional capital contribution or financial assistance, potentially including external debt backed by a corporate guarantee.
The investment supports the company's move into the single-malt whisky segment as part of its broader premium spirits strategy, expanding beyond its existing portfolio led by brands such as Officer's Choice.
Separately, the Management Committee also approved additional capital contribution or financial assistance of up to ₹10 crore to MAILLP to cover cost overruns on previously approved ongoing projects at the same site, including a bottling unit targeted for completion in Q3 FY27 and a distillery targeted for Q3 FY28, both originally intimated in January 2026.
