Rs.5100 Million Sponge Iron Plant Expansion Project in Bellary, Karnataka

Project summary

A firm is planning to expand sponge iron plant, power plant, rolling mill, cold mining, steel melting shop, and galvanizing unit in Karnataka. The expansion will increase production from 90000 TPA to 440000 TPA of sponge iron, 12 to 24 MW of power, and add facilities for 600000 TPA of rolling mill, 600000 TPA of cold mining, 660000 TPA of steel melting shop, and 300000 TPA of galvanizing unit. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.5100 million. The company has received environment clearance and the expansion includes the installation of additional 1x350 TPD DRI kiln to increase production of sponge iron and add power plants, induction furnaces, and narrow hot strip mill
