A new Semiconductor and Electronics Manufacturing Park is planned at Maduramangalam in Kancheepuram district with an investment of Rs 175 crore, featuring R&D facilities to support companies setting up semiconductor manufacturing units. The park is expected to attract further investments of up to Rs 2,000 crore in the semiconductor sector and generate around 5,000 direct and indirect jobs.
