Project summary
A major expansion project in West Bengal includes enhancing zinc plating capacity (EP-1: 18,250 TPA, EP-2: 36,500 TPA, EP-3: 73,000 TPA) and upgrading a steel plant with new DRI kilns, induction furnaces, rolling mills, a galvanizing unit, and a 30 MW captive power plant. Construction starts in July 2025, ending in July 2028, with environmental clearance under review.
